“Bless ‘em All”: Old Time Music Hall

Performed by Brentwood Operatic Society Bless ‘Em All tells the story of a small town during World War 1 who are visited by a travelling band. We meet the local community, who are setting up their town hall for a ‘Music Hall’ type performance while the band are rehearsing. As well as some good old fashioned sing alongs, we get to know the people of the town and see how their lives have been affected by the war. From the strong ‘Munitionettes’ holding the fort here at home, to the broken men returning from war, Bless ‘Em All reminds us of what real people had to face during these hard times, lest we forget.
